About Us
Visit the news pageThe North Wales RSL Equality Partnership was formed back in 2001 to take a joint approach to promote equality in housing in North Wales. The partnership organisations strive to ensure that we are accessible and open organisations for all our residents, applicants, Board members and staff.
We are committed to the principle of equality across the whole range our activities. We believe it benefits the organisations, residents, applicants, and staff. Our partnership work is part and parcel of an ongoing commitment by the organisations to ensuring that equality is embedded in all the work that we do.

A fundamental aspect of valuing diversity is the right to equality and fair treatment for groups and individuals. However, the principle of valuing diversity goes beyond this. Valuing diversity means positively welcoming and celebrating the different contributions which diverse groups and individuals make to our community. Without good diversity management, we realise that we cannot provide an excellent customer service and continuously improve.
In April 2004 we introduced our first Black & Minority Ethnic (BME) Housing Strategy Rather than develop new BME housing strategies we recognised the need to address the wider issues and thus developed and broadened our new strategy in 2008, resulting in the Regional Diversity Strategy.
Our challenge is to ensure that the housing needs of North Wales communities and individuals in them are addressed in all situations. We need to embed equality and diversity at the heart of what we do, across all services, from strategic decision making to the delivery of every day frontline services. We believe this partnership will assist all of us in further achieving this.
We strictly adhere to both legislative and regulatory requirements and complies with the Welsh Assembly Government with the Minority Ethnic Housing Action Plan for Wales 2008 -2011 and the CRE Code of Practice for Rented Housing in Wales 2006.
