Diversity Champions on Board

Diversity champions 1North Wales Registered Social Landlord Equality Partnership (NWREP) launched its new website on 30th April by holding a Board Diversity Champions’ awareness session.

The five partner Housing Associations – Cymdeithas Tai Eryri, Cymdeithas Tai Clwyd, Clwyd Alyn Housing Association, North Wales Housing Association and Wales & West Housing Association – all have a Board member elected as their Diversity Champion to promote equality issues at the heart of each organisation’s management.

The session covered the role of the Champion, the progress that NWREP has made to date, as well as a taster session of a diversity board game.

Diversity Champions 2The new website was officially launched and demonstrated to the Champions, who welcomed this development.

The session was successful in highlighting the achievements of the group to the Board members and their support of the group’s work will invigorate future progress.

Neil Moffatt, Chair of NWREP, said, “The Champions’ Day was an excellent opportunity to work as a partnership, sharing best practice and working together to raise the profile of equality and diversity issues throughout the member organisations.”

Diversity Champions 3NWREP was formed in 2001 to take a joint approach to promote equality in housing in North Wales.

The partnership associations strive to ensure that they are accessible and open organisations for all our residents, applicants, Board members and staff.
